Adom9 is an electronic music duo composed of two brothers, Randon & Rannoch Purcell. Their music combines many genres and styles including electronica,
alternative, Celtic and even Renaissance vocal music.
Although the brothers have been writing, performing and producing music together and with others since 1992, the creation of Adom9 in 2001 marked a completely new musical direction as well as their first venture as a musical duo.
Currently, geographical distance has paused new work, but there are still plans for some new music.
In 2005 Adom9 released a double-disc album titled "Deluge". The first disc was comprised of electronic/alternative tracks while the second disc was a project titled
"Misse de deus frères"; an original, six-movement choral requiem mass written in Latin, blending many genres of vocal and instrumental music.
In 2011 the band released a digital-only Christmas EP titled "Memento Christos" for charity. This included 3 new and unique arrangements of the classic, public domain Christmas carols "O Come O Come Emmanuel", "Coventry Carol", and "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day".
Plans for 2014 include releases of some previously unreleased tracks and possibly some remixes of other older tracks from Adom9 and the brothers' previous project, "Agnes Poetry".
While most of our music is unavailable for licensing, we are always interested in new opportunities and custom musical work. Feel free to get in touch and let us know what you need.
